Our History
Carolina Communications, Inc. was founded over 29 years ago by Warren Baker and Donald Proell. We have two locations that have been serving the Pee Dee region in South Carolina: The Darlington shop, located on the Hwy 52 Bypass, and the shop in Florence, located off of Hwy 52 South in the Southland Industrial Park. Since the beginning, we have been a Motorola shop installing and maintaining Motorola equipment and systems. We have built our business on integrity, and strive to provide our customers with low cost, straight facts, and high standards of customer service. In the past few years, to better serve our customers, we have added ICOM, and EFJohnson/Kenwood radios. We have grown from a simple radio shop to a communications leader. We now offer network and wireless systems to better support our client’s needs. We can Integrate your radio system with your network to make both work smarter in your specific environment. Carolina Communications, Inc. is capable of installing radio systems so that a plant in NC and a plant in SC can communicate over a two -way radio system across the Internet and state border. Shannon Peeples (Warren’s daughter) is the General Manager of Carolina Communications, Inc. Shannon is completing Warren’s vision and is taking the company to the next level.
